  1. Welcome!

    April 18, 2013 by priyankakarthik

Greetings fellow Montagues!  I hope everyone is enjoying their day so far.  Since we are all exploring different methods in designing our blog, we need to share our findings.  This will ensure a great success within our blog.  Also, we are having our second and final spirit day on Friday, April 26.  I was thinking that we could all buy, decorate, and wear our T-shirts that day to show our spirit.  We also need to create a T-shirt or some clothing of the sort for our muse, Ms. Engerran, to wear.  We also still need to decide on our theme song and the song to represent our beloved muse.  If anyone has any doubts or ideas, please respond to this.  Your input will be greatly valuable to not only our blog, but ourselves as well.  Thank you! :)

  2. What is a Youth?

    May 2, 2013 by Lahir

Song that the guy at the party sings in the movie version of Romeo and Juliet (1968). This song is repeated throughout the movie. Please share your insight on what foreshadowing or information this song conveys.

    Lord: I believe that :

    “What is a youth?

    Impetuous fire.

    What is a maid?

    Ice and desire.

    The world wags on”
foreshadows the love of youth being ignored. Also I think that the “Impetuous fire” refers to haste and decision making that causes problems. These lines may foreshadow the love between Romeo and Juliet and how their hasty decision will cost them a lot but they will be soon forgotten.

  3. Study Guide for Final

    May 2, 2013 by Lahir

Hello fellow Montagues, as we all know the final is a large percentage of our grades and I would like for us to do well on it so I would like for each family member to contribute at least 10 questions that they think will be on the final. When you comment your questions send the Lord the answers via e-mail. His e-mail is [email protected] Thank You! (Remember don’t repeat the same questions).

                Dear Ms. Engerran,

I am Lahir Kanneganti and I am the Lord of the Montague family. My family members and I would like to first thank you for the splendid education you have provided us this year.  Next we would like to recognize your superb teaching methods and your spectacular personality. You have shared with us your valuable knowledge in understanding films and incorporating that information into literature. Not only have you enlarged our appreciation for movies but also thought us many valuable lessons through those very films. You are an invaluable resource to anyone and once again on behalf of the Montague family I would like to give you my most sincere thanks.

                                                                                                                            Sincerely,

                                                                                                            Lahir and the Montague family

    P.S. You are absolutely amazing.
